Arts & Crafts mission oak wall hanging hat rack in the shape of an old garden gate, adorned with original “May the hinges of friendship never grow rusty” motto, wrought iron “smashed” tacks and 5 wooden hat pegs. This form is commonly misattributed to Stickley Bros. or Roycroft, but it’s actual maker remains unproven. Very nice original dark finish with the addition of a few small drilled mounting holes.
