Large Benedict OMS hand hammered copper and brass lidded cigar box with wonderful riveted construction and spade handle. Beautifully restored rich brown patina. This humidor was originally used in the “Gentleman Jim” room in the historic Warwick Hotel in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA. Unsigned, but pictured in a period advertisement. Note that the ad’s heading reads “Benedict Art Studios Succeeding The Onondaga Metal Shop”. 12.5”l x 8.5”w x 8.5”h (top of handle). SOLD
